Creating a balance between your dream and your survival
You see, the future belongs to those who can dream and who believe in the validity of their dreams. Do you have a dream? That’s great! Even if you are not sure, at the least, you just want to be successful in life. Isn’t that true? That’s beautiful and great, but you need to know this – Without creating a balance between your dream and your survival, you may not last long enough to see that future of your dreams.
Two questions you always need to ask yourself are:
If I must be successful, then in what? And like who? These two questions will help you have a clearer picture of the cost dimension and anticipated gain of the pursuit. For success to be achieved, there must be a line of focus and a visual pattern that you can model your life after.
So, that’s it! Have you ever questioned your dream this way before?
And just like I said earlier, while it is good to have a dream which guarantees a bright future, you also need to understand that a man who has nothing doing to sustain himself in the moment may not live long enough to see that future. This brings us again to the fact that, creating a balance between your dream and your survival, is inevitable
Why do you need to create this balance?
Dreams at infancy seldom pay the bills. You need to put your hands to work if you must survive. Do you have something doing that can sustain you while you build your dreams?
All I share on branding, business growth & clarity would have probably died long ago if I didn’t tell myself this truth. Don’t think all the money comes from speaking engagements and facilitating events. Not at all. I work with my hands. That is where the clarity lies.
Most of the things I share are practical lessons gained in my own work and as I grow my own business. It’s good to have a dream and please, never let it die. But you need to understand that certain things in life require time. And bills won’t wait for that time.
If you don’t want to kill your dreams at infancy due to frustrated expectations, get your hands to work. Find a skill or trade that can bring in cash in real-time and help you cushion the bills while you chase your dream.
I remain your clarity coach and your clarity remains my priority.
