How to make your dream life happen
Few years ago, I had real desire to be relevant in life, be known for something noble, get to inspire a lot of people and be a light to my world. I really wanted to be successful in life and gain access to great platforms where I will be able to speak to thousands of people. However, all of these were just mere wishes in my head until I started out on the course of how to make them happen. Right now, I am gradually stepping into the reality of it and my name is growing in popularity. I’m becoming a global brand with my name just by making certain decisions and taking certain steps. In this post, I will be sharing them all with you and helping you to understand how to make your dream life happen.
“Life will always give us a story to tell, but most importantly, it always gives us the power to choose how the story ends.”
You see, in this life, we all will have stories to tell. Yours might be the issue of your family background, certain events that happened around you as you were growing up or come unexplainable circumstances which were beyond your control. I’ve got mine and so is everyone. One thing I have found out is that if all we do is camp around any of our experiences without taking steps to move further, we’ve just made a decision to remain victims of life forever. Success doesn’t happen to anyone. People always have to make it happen.
Inevitable steps to make your dream life happen
Catch a vision
It’s never enough to have dreams in your head and wishes of things you would like to happen to you in life. You need to have a clear vision of who you want to be and what you want your life to stand for. Without a vision of who you want to be, there is nothing to guide how you should start living your life and what should be your priority. Vision helps us to streamline our lives and cut off frivolities. It helps us to see what matters most and where to expend most of our energy for maximum productivity.
Get clear on what you want to be successful in and build a routine around it
This is where a lot of people miss it. It’s not enough to just want to be successful. You also need to know what exactly you want to be successful in. Without a clear direction of what you want to be successful in, you will keep scattering your energy and time over plenty things. The end result is, after many years, your progress will either be zero or too insignificant.
Locate those activities and relationships that turn you on
Not every activity will get you inspired and turned on. There must have been some activities that drain the day light out of you. Cut them off. Locate those activities you love to engage in and that keep you lubricated. Spend most of your time on them. Also look for persons who always bring out the best in you and leave you better each time you stayed together. Spend more of your time with these people as well.
Work with a plan
Planning means, taking action on your dreams. It also means putting yourself in the position of responsibility, accountability and authority over your desires in life. To have a plan is to give yourself a target of what you want to achieve within specific timeframe, map out specific steps or course of action and measurable performance indicators to tell you how fast you’re moving into the reality of that achievement. To summarize that, it’s important that you set SMART goals. This means your goals have to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely.
Get a coach/mentor
This can be the best investment of your future. A coach helps you to get clear on who you are and what you want to become in life. He/she helps you to set right goals and keeps you accountable for those goals. His/her job is to stand by you to ensure you’re making consistent calculated steps towards your dreams. A mentor is that person who has journeyed through that path you want to take and has the experiential knowledge of the journey. He/she helps you to navigate safely and quicker into your desired life by standing on his/her experience. You get to borrow from his/her wisdom, mistakes made and lessons learned in order to make your own journey smoother.
These are few things which are inevitable if you must make your dreams come true. No dream comes true until you stay true. And if you must stay true, these are actionable steps that have helped me and many thousands of others. Stick to them.
I remain your clarity coach and your clarity remains my priority.
